I would want to hold a senators position because they would be like the USA's senate, which in a way has more power than the consuls/president.
The first two depicted are the average male and female Patricians. The third and fourth people depicted are what an average male and female plebeian would have looked like. The patricians were rich and landowners consisting of 5% of the roman population. The plebeians were the rest of the people consisting of 95% of the roman population.
These 12 tables impacted the Plebeians by having the laws not change to benefit the Patricians and to make the Patricians and the Plebs both happy with the laws that were in order.
The Romans switched from a monarchy to a republic is to ensure checks and balances. The definition of that is a system of government which gives equal power to all the parts of a government.
